Golden door Spa

The Golden Door Spa at the Waldorf Astoria Park City encompasses 16,000 square feet of an absolutely serene spa. Scenic views of the natural surrounding beauty is offset by an internal elegance and contemporary design.

Hungerford Design was hired as a consultant to Lori Rapport, Interior Designer, and worked closely with Lori through all phases of design though concentrating on initial concept through final elevation and detail drawings. Lori and I are pleased to announce that this project has been awarded the 2011 SpaFinders Reader’s Choice Crystal Award as the Number #1 spa in North America.

Golden Door Case Study

Golden Door Case Study

The Golden Door Spa at Dakota Mountain Lodge is the first hybrid spa from Golden Door. It will serve as a day spa for locals (with a membership program); resort spa for travelers; and a destination wellness retreat for true spa aficionados. Guests will have the option to participate in week-long Golden Door experiences or to even partake in a day or two of the immersion experience while they are in town.

The Golden Door Spa adds a sense of tranquility to the guest's vacation with a rare balance of harmony, beauty and soul. Encompassing 16,000 square feet, the spa's atmosphere of elegance and contemporary design complements the surrounding natural beauty of the Wasatch Mountains.

The lounge rooms are sanctuaries in which you can relax in a group, or find a private spot of your own. The Gathering Room can be used for spa cuisine or for private functions and lectures.

The custom-designed fitness center features Techno gym Kinesis, strength-training equipment, treadmills, stationary bikes, elliptical cross-trainers, and free weights. Weekly schedule of classes include cycling, yoga, kickboxing, mat Pilates, tabata, cardio and strength circuits.
