ABOUT PUSHING THE PENCIL
Graduating from Florida State University with a B.A. in Interior Design, Andrew has worked for several Architectural firms honing his design, drawing and presentation skills. After many years of Architectural concepting, opportunities arose for thematic design with Six Flags, Disney World and Universal Studios. Andrew then switched gears from the parks to boutique hotels and became the design director for Grand Bohemian here in Orlando and the Casa Monica in St. Augustine, Florida.
Kicking off his own design and illustration company in 2000, Andrew now works with a handful of owners, architects and interior designers. Working with existing brands and brand language, Andrew can produce plans, elevations, perspectives, aerials and graphics communicating ideas and concepts as well as evoking mood.
Andrew has partnered successfully with many firms at different levels, even participating in International competitions and charettes. Working with Lori Rapport from HOK Architects years ago they were able to complete the One and Only Ocean Club Spa located on Paradise Island, Nassau which was designated the ' Number One Spa in the World' by Eurpoean Elle Magazine.
And recently, Lori and Andrew's project, The Golden Door Spa at the Waldorf Astoria in Park City, Utah, was awarded the 2011 SpaFinders Reader’s Choice Crystal Award as the Number #1 spa in North America.
Andrew lives in Orlando with his wife and five children
